Weare, N.H. -- November 11, 2005 -- Siemens - NERLITE, designers and manufacturers of NERLITE® Machine Vision Illumination products, announces new constant current drivers and controllers for LED Lighting.
Constant Current Drivers and Controllers are ideal power sources for LED-based lighting. By design, LEDs are current driven devices whose manufacturers recommend current controlled power sources. With current control:
- Variations in LED output are minimized
- The highest possible LED life expectancy is obtained
- LED response to current adjustment is linear, allowing accurate control of light output
Two distinct product lines are available:
- The LC-50 and LC-100 - Constant Current Driver line. Used in conjunction with NERLITE LALL™ and S-20 products, these constant current drivers provide a compact, economical, and stable output solution for use in machine vision applications.
- The PP6xx, PP9xx, PP8xx and PP1xx line of programmable LED Lighting Controllers from Gardasoft Vision. These current controllers provide programmable intensity and strobe control. Light intensity, timing and triggering settings are stored in non-volatile memory to enable automatic recovery after power cycles. Remote programming and control is provided on models with an RS232 link.
