Weare, N.H. -- November 11, 2005 -- Siemens-NERLITE, designers and manufacturers of NERLITE® Machine Vision Illumination products, announces two new additions to our line of Constant Current Drivers for LED Lighting: the LC-50 and LC-100.
With the addition of the LC-50 and LC-100, NERLITE is now able to supply constant current drivers suitable for use in a wide range of machine vision applications, including high speed line scan systems where highly stable light output is required.
Configurations
- LC-50: To drive Constant Current (CC) lights in continuous, full-intensity mode
- LC-100: To drive CC lights in variable intensity mode
The LC-50 and LC-100 are both available in 0.35, 0.7 and 1.05 Amp models to support NERLITE LALLTM and S-20 models.
About Current Control
Current control is an ideal power regulation method for LED-based lighting. By design, LEDs are current driven devices whose manufacturers recommend current controlled power sources. With current control:
- Variations in LED output are minimized
- The highest possible LED life expectancy is obtained
- LED response to current adjustment is linear, allowing precise control of light output
